LISA ANITA WEGNER is the creative producer of Mighty Brave Productions, a small award-winning multi-media production company. After suffering a trauma-related brain injury c-PTSD, Lisa began exploring art video, post-production photography and most recently, performance art as therapy. Her art work was first shown at the Phoenix Art Museum, and since then, has appeared at the Art Gallery of Ontario, Gallery 1313, Moniker Gallery, Toronto Art Fair, Buddies in Bad Times, Annex Patio Art Show, The Black Cat Artspace and NXNE Festival. Her ventures into large-scale performance installations include the 26-foot "Queen Of The Parade," which was a highlight of Patrick Macauley's Parade for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2013; a 10-foot version of The Queen was commissioned by Partners in Art, for ARTrageous In Motion in 2014. Video and live interaction mark the progression of her art practice since it incorporated performance as a crucial component of Ms. Wegners continuing journey toward authenticity. Her performing persona, Think Blank Human, represents the experiences of a newcomer to this planet, emerging from the space-time continuum to investigate the environment in anticipation of revealing herself to humanity. With this progression, live & interactive performance has joined pop culture, found objects, and an ever-present sense of play as key elements of Ms. Wegners work, signposts to attract the viewer and invite them into her world.
