Part of Harbourfront Centres World Stage Masterclass series, this ATC is for Professional & pre-professional dance artists

Based in principles of release, Klein technique, improvisation and visualization, inner rhythm will take the place of muscular tension. Well begin with somatic and anatomical investigation and allow this to lead us into structured movement, bringing the background to the foreground. Form will appear only as a happy accident in our movement phrases and our focus will be on sequencing of the skeleton, and the bodys relationship to space, sound and each other.

All participants who attend this ATC are eligible for a discount to see The Dietrich Group present This is a Costume Drama at World Stage at the Harbourfront Centre Theatre April 29-May 2 2015.

Recipient of the 2014 K.M. Hunter Award for Dance, Danielle Baskerville is Artistic Associate of D.A. HoskinsThe Dietrich Group and works with some of Canadas leading contemporary dance companies and creators. She is currently involved in new creations by D.A. Hoskins, Vanessa Jane Kimmons, Allison Cummings/Deborah Pearson and on a documentary film about great Canadian jazz artist Phil Dwyer with choreographer Kate Alton. Recently she has performed in Dusseldorf, Germany with Dancetheatre David Earle, Montreal with Adelheid Dance Projects, Tulum, Mexico with Trish Beatty and Toronto, Ontario with Art of Time Ensemble and Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie. With an interest in contributing to insightful discourse on Canadian contemporary dance, Danielle recently went back to school to complete an SSHRC-funded MA in Dance Studies at York University.
