OBJECT PUPPETRY WORKSHOP with Ingrid Hansen, at the Puppetmongers Studio (Unit W-23 at 388 Carlaw Avenue, Toronto)

Investigate the fundamentals of object puppetry and bring life to ordinary household objects. There will be an emphasis on courage, breath, movement, creative abandon, and fun. No prior experience necessary. Instructor Ingrid Hansen worked for 4 years as a lead puppeteer on a children's television series. She trained in puppetry with former Sesame Street puppeteer Tim Gosley, and with Old Trout Puppeteer Peter Balkwill at the Banff National Arts Centre. Ingrid teaches puppetry to schoolchildren, adults, and prison inmates.
