ABOUT MURAL ROUTES: Mural Routes is the only not-for-profit arts service organization in Canada dedicated to the creation, development and promotion of public wall art since 1994. We create, promote, educate, advise and link artists, organizations and others that are interested in the development of wall art. Mural Routes has become the primary advisor for communities engaged in producing public wall art in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
ABOUT THE STEPS INITIATIVE: The STEPS Initiative is an award winning non-profit that builds the capacity of citizens to take action in creating more vibrant and connected communities. We have been an incubated project of the Centre for Social Innovation since 2010.We use art to connect people to public spaces, by: engaging diverse communities, building youth capacity, enabling grassroots initiatives, revitalizing public spaces, and creating new opportunities for public art.
