ARKANA

Arkana is a unit of collaborative improvisers who walk the edge of composition and improvisation. Pianist Ali Berkok (Aurochs, Muskox) is joined by drummer Andrew Miller, saxophonist Karen Ng, and cellist Erika Nielsen. Together, these four mainstays of the Toronto music scene conjure melodies, stretch forms, and lay down grooves, resulting in a dynamic, surprising performance each and every time. Building upon releases Hyprovisation (2007) and Kaleidoscope (2010), this incarnation of Arkana will see their efforts documented on the All-Set! imprint in the spring of 2017.

Ali Berkok- Piano
