Myriad3 at 80 Gladstone

During the month of November, 80 Gladstone will be hosting a 3-part jazz series featuring some of the brightest talents in Canada.

80 Gladstone is one of Toronto’s newest, most exciting and unique performance spaces. Located at the corner of Gladstone and Alma (just north of Queen), this versatile space hosts yoga classes by day, and concerts by night. The beautiful space seats about 50, including comfortable couches for informal lounging. A no-shoe environment, 80 Gladstone used to be a Portugese grocery store, but all that remains from it’s prior incarnation is the sign.

A little more about the artists…

Myriad3 was an accident. Chris, Dan, and Ernesto had never played together until a few substitutions and a twist of fate put them on stage together for the first time in late 2010. Since then, the trio has completed multiple tours of Canada, the US and Europe, including opening for Earth, Wind & Fire at the Ottawa Jazz Festival in 2014. The band is a true collective. Each member acts simultaneously as a leader and a sideman. They play mostly original music that features different aspects of jazz improvisation, ensemble playing and contemporary composition. In June 2014, Myriad3 released their second album, The Where on Universal/Alma Records. Myriad3.com
