LOVE WITHOUT BORDERS: AN EVENING OF STORYTELLING

In a world of intense global mobility, the idea of home becomes difficult to name. Who are we, and where do we belong? How do the many aspects of our identitiesculture, race, gender, language, sexuality, and abilityamong othersinteract and intersect to make us feel at home or alone in our bodies, or in particular places or spaces? What does it mean to fall in love or to experience desire across boundariesof place, gender, or culture?

Join four of Torontos most celebrated storytellers for a free evening of reading and music. Shani Mootoo, Vivek Shraya, and Casey Mecija will read and perform from their work and will engage the audience in a discussion on home, sexuality, identity, and what it means to experience love and belonging across borders. Pushcart Journey Prize nominated Canadian writer Trevor Corkum will moderate the discussion.

This event is jointly organized by Ryerson's International Student Services and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Office.

Food will be provided.

Please note: Limited seating Priorities will be given to Ryerson University students.
