Little York Folk Festival

The first ever Little York Folk Festival will be held on May Day, Sunday May 1st, 2016 at the Tranzac Club in Toronto.

The Little York Folk Festival Manifesto:

To create a hub for Toronto's rich and varied folk and roots music communities, to foster connections, share skills and have a ridiculously good time. Join us for an all-day hullabaloo, full of workshops, concerts and a big dance to cap off the night!

Here's the line-up:

Balfolk/Square Dance Square-Off! European and Appalachian folk dances fight to the death. With folks from the Balfolk and Hogtown Hoedown dance communities. Dance lessons provided. No experience necessary!

Concerts by Kristine Schmitt - The Conductors - Swamperella - Hairbrain w/ Jaron Freeman-Fox - Quique Escamillia - David Boulanger from La Bottine Souriante - Ivan Rosenberg & Kristin Cavoukian

Workshops with Max Heineman Honky Tonk Dance Lesson - Anh Phung Silly Song Sing-along for Kids and their Adults - Sarah Jane Scouten Songcraft - Mike Tod Old Cowboy Songs of Alberta - David Boulanger Quebec Fiddle and Polyrhythm and more!
