International Festival of Authors celebrates the Governor General's Literary Awards

The Governor General’s Literary Awards are given annually to the best English- and French-language books in the categories of Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, Drama, Children’s Literature and Translation.

This event celebrates the authors shortlisted for the 2014 Governor General’s Literary Award for English-language Fiction. Four of the finalists will participate: Michael Crummey nominated for Sweetland, Bill Gaston nominated for Juliet Was a Surprise, Claire Holden Rothman nominated for My October, and Joan Thomas nominated for The Opening Sky.
