In the Dust
Ad Hoc Collective presents In the Dust, November 27th-29th at St. Luke's United Church.
Claire hasn't been home in a very long time. She's been living on the other side of the country since she moved away to go to school, but when her mother's health deteriorates, she must return to pack up the house she grew up in. Among the dusty furniture and half packed boxes, Claire finds more than just memories. Confronted by her seven and fifteen year old selves, she must reckon with a longing for something that no longer exists.
In the Dust is a multidisciplinary exploration of the loss of home and the way our memories live on in the spaces weve inhabited. Created collaboratively through physical devising, improvisation, and playwriting, the piece combines live projection, storytelling, music, and movement to create a dreamy and surreal journey through memory.
