IMPORTANCE OF INSECT CONSERVATION

Georges Brossard, a self-taught entomologist, is the founder of the Montreal Insectarium. A recipient of the Order of Canada, he delights in sharing his passion for insects with everyone. Part of his life story is reflected in the Blue Butterfly, a movie about a child with cancer and an entomologist who travel to Central America in search of the Blue Morpho. He is also the writer of the TV series entitled Mémoires d'insectes and the co-creator and host of the series Insectia. George presents the 5th Quimby F. Hess Lecture.
