Godboogie Feat Jerome Godboo, Eric Schenkman, Shawn Kellerman and Al Cross Live at the Linsmore!

Friday October 27th and almost the exact day to the year of their last show at the Linsmore Tavern, we are excited to welcome back one of the most accomplished group of musicians in Canada, Godboogie! When it comes to live shows, it really doesn't get much better then this Supergroup, Godboogie! There have been so many requests to bring this incredible band featuring 2014's Lee Oskar's Best Harmonica Player and frontman of explosive 90's rock band The Phantoms, Jerome Godboo back to the Linsmore and finally we are able to do so! Jerome is pulling out all the stops for this special show as his band includes Spin Doctors founder and guitarist Eric Schenkman, guitarist Shawn Kellerman of Lucky Peterson fame, as well as drummer Al Cross from Big Sugar and Great Big Sea!

Eric Schenkman is one of the founders and lead guitarist for one of the biggest bands in the world during the 1990's, the Grammy Nominated Spin Doctors! Best known for their early 1990s hits, "Two Princes", and "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong", which peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 7 and No. 17 respectively, the Spin Doctors went 5X Platinum with their 1991 album Pocket Full of Kryptonite and followed that up with 1994 Platinum album Turn It Upside Down. Eric has recently collaborated with Jerome Godboo's most recent album Sanctuary City.

Shawn Kellerman has been nominated for the “Guitar Player The Year” by the Maple Blues Awards, Canada’s most respected blues society based in Toronto, Ontario. Shawn has recorded 3 of his own cd’s plus recording and playing on Bobby Rush’s Raw CD released in 2007 that won a Blues Music Award in Memphis for “Best Acoustic CD of the Year”. Also, Lucky Peterson’s Live in Berlin 3 DVD/2CD box set which Shawn participated in, was up for a 2013 nomination for Best DVD of the Year.

Al Cross is a founding member and drummer of Canadian Blues, Reggae, Rock band, Big Sugar. Releasing 9 albums since 1991, Big Sugar was one of Canada's biggest bands during the 1990's. Big Sugar has 2 Gold albums and 2 Platinum albums to their name. Al has also played drums in Canadian Folk Rock Band Great Big Sea.

Jerome Godboo An accomplished and exceptional bluesman, his bending harp skills have been sought by everyone from Ronnie Hawkins to the late Jeff Healey and he continues to mesmerize all who witness him onstage including the judges at the International blues Challenge 2014 held in Memphis where Jerome took home the Lee Oskar best harmonica Player award. The one-time local legend of explosive 90s rock band the Phantoms, Jerome has released 14 albums in his 25-plus year career, 11 of which are solo, including the brand new Sanctuary City with drummer Gary Craig and Spin Doctors guitarist Eric Schenkman. He's headlined at the Montreal Jazz Festival (2005), played Toronto’s Air Canada Centre with Ronnie Hawkins, opened for the Yardbirds and performed on stages across Canada, the U.S., France, Finland, Portugal, Ukraine, Israel and beyond. He's played with Prince, Pinetop Perkins, James Cotton, the Tragically Hip, Levon Helm, Billy Ray Cyrus and many more, and recorded and toured with the likes of Alannah Myles, Dutch Mason, Jeff Healey, Jimmy Bowskill and Suzie McNeil.
