Get School'd: Macrame Plant Hanger Workshop

What’s it all about?

Macramé is a form of textile-making using knotting. Through guided step-by-step instruction, you’ll learn how to translate the simple knots from your childhood (a la the friendship bracelet days) into chic boho planters that you’ll be proud to hang in your home. Macramé adds amazing texture and coziness to any wall or corner of the home and is really fun to learn. Meet new people, master a new craft, and walk away with a beautiful planter that YOU can brag about.

What you need to bring

You will be provided everything you need to leave with a completed single plant hanger including rope, hardware, and the clay pot. Plant not included. Bring a pen and paper for notes but keep in mind, it’ll be hands-on learning.

Who’s teaching?

Jenny Morris is a redhead with a green thumb who firmly believes that home is where the plants are. Working within the jungleloft (aka her home) Jenny makes and sells macrame and leather plant hangers out of Toronto. Catch her at the Gladstone Flea Goes Green where she’ll be selling vintage pots and handcrafted planters on April 23.
