FULL CIRCLE:

Toronto isnt usually mentioned when it comes to groundbreaking Hip Hop artists, but rap duo, Full Circle is making it clear that theyre about to change all that.

Comprised of Toronto natives Still Waters and Bes Kept, Full Circle names legendary Toronto hip hop vets like Da Grassroots and Saukrates as sources of inspiration. The pair is intent on adding to Torontos strong Hip Hop legacy. As Bes Kept bluntly puts it, Hip Hops been here, weve been here - this aint nothing new. We just want to keep the vibe strong, the lineage strong.

Full Circle formed out of a chance meeting through a mutual friend in early 2011. After hearing each others material, Producer Bes Kept and Emcee Still Waters began putting beats to rhymes. Before long the pair teamed up officially in 2012 to form the group, "Full Circle".

The brothers have been hard at work for the past two years crafting their distinct sound that echoes the musical influences to which they humbly give reverence. Still Waters sharp, quick fire rhyme style coupled with Bes Kepts hard drums and soulful loops, create infectious grooves that command the classic Hip Hop junkie head nod. When asked about their creative motivation, Still Waters reveals, Writings as natural as breathing to me but when it comes the FC sound, its all about the vibe. Bes Kept adds, Hard beats and tight rhymes thats the formula he continues, funk, soul, jazz, rock or whatever, its nothing deep its just a matter finding the right records.

Their forth-coming debut album Infinite Edges looks to be refreshingly different in a music genre awash in commercial gimmicks and mediocre rap acts. Still Waters would have it no other way. We love this art form, its a part of us, he states. Some people can switch up and make what they dont feel. I never understood that, and dont really want to.

Within a few seconds of listening, its obvious that the pair have a strong dedication and love for their craft. Their formula is simple enough, however there is a genuine texture to their sound that is undeniable. With originality being at the core of their music, the Full Circle movement is most definitely in season.
