Film Screening & Discussion of "Wretches & Jabberers"

On Friday, October 24th from 4:30pm – 7:00pm York University will host a screening of Wretches & Jabberers, a documentary film about two men with autism who embark on a global quest to change attitudes about disability and intelligence. This event is hosted by the Anthropology Department. Zulfikar Hirji, Anthropology Department Graduate Program Director, will moderate a post film discussion with Visiting Professor Gerardine Wurzburg, the Academy Award® winning producer and director, joined by the film stars and disability rights advocates Larry Bissonnette and Tracy Thresher. The event will be located at the Price Family Cinema in the Accolade East Building at York University with a reception to follow. The event is free and open to the York University members and the Greater Toronto Community.
