Another Facilitate. This time Trevor Abes is co-facilitating this installment of events where we have invited audience members & past features to shine a light on other members of the community, giving us eyes where we perhaps cannot see.

TREVOR ABES

is an artist with a penchant for conceptual writing and photography. He was part of the winning ensemble at the 2015 SLAMtario Spoken Word Festival, and competed in both the National Poetry Slam and the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word as part of the Toronto Poetry Slam team. His work has appeared in Torontoist, (parenthetical), untethered magazine, The Rusty Toque, The Toronto Review of Books, and the Hart House Review, among others. He is currently Staff Writer at The Theatre Reader and working on his first book of poetry.

VICTORIA BUTLER

is a certified Mom friend who hails from Barrie, Ontario. She is an Editor-in-Chief of The Northern Appeal as well as one of it's founders. You can find her work in the Acta Victoriana, The Veg, and untethered mag.

EKRAZ SINGH

is a writer, editor, educator, and master’s student. Her poetry, essays, interviews and reviews have appeared in Descant, Existere, and Untethered. She serves as the executive editor and publisher of Sewer Lid, an online magazine of urban art and literature. Connect with her on Twitter @EkrazSingh.

RACHEL MANSON

just graduated from Queens University where she was the director and host of Queens Poetry Slam for two years. Before that, she performed slam monthly in Kingston venues like the Mansion, The Grad Club and Clark Hall Pub. She was a featured artist in the Queens Journal as well as a playwright for the Drama Studio Series for three years, winning honourable in the Saxton Playwriting Competition and the Lorne Greene Award. She is primarily known for stand up comedy, improv and sketch. She is currently studying at the Second City Conservatory and performs at places like the Social Capital Theatre, I'll Be Seeing You comedy night and the Freetimes Cafe. She will be entering the QuarterFinals of the Comedy Brawl in August so stay tuned!
