Even a tumbleweed has to sleep somewhere - Brick House

For her first ever photographic series, Brick house, DeCoutere has been drawn to the blanketing sky, the quench of water, blown out buildings being reclaimed by the earth and the flora and fauna that are the products of all these elements - her comforts of home. Common threads in her work are contrasting textures and asymmetry with an intention to create postcards of a life in motion, kinetic, which DeCoutere describes as an occupational hazard.
