DROP IN SHIBORI DYEING DAY

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! AN ALL DAY DROP-IN SHIBORI EVENT!

Come by December 23rd between 10am & 7pm and learn the art of Shibori dyeing. This Japanese style of resistance fabric dyeing includes binding, stitching, folding, twisting and compressing the fabric before submerging it in indigo ink, resulting in beautiful, complex, one of a kind designs.

PLEASE NOTE: An average of three hours is needed to complete the dyeing process, so please plan your visit accordingly.

PLEASE BRING: Fabric you wish you dye. Only natural fibers will accept dye, so be sure to steer away from synthetics. You can choose to dye simple fabric yardage or ready-made items. For the most traditional shibori look, go with solid white fabric. Cotton responds really well to indigo dye, and is a great choice for your first attempts. PLEASE KEEP YOUR PRE-WASHED FABRIC TO NO LARGER THAN 4x8 ft.

All other materials included.

TUES, DEC 23

ANYTIME BETWEEN 10-7 (PLEASE ALOT 3 HRS FOR ACTIVITY)

$45

*Please note: all workshops are non-refundable. Please make sure the date works with your schedule.*
