Digital Promises, an exciting collection of furniture, jewelry and visual art, explores the methods, processes and products of designers at the leading edge of digitally-mediated production. Featuring sixteen Toronto-based and International exhibitors working with a wide range of digital techniques, the show provides a rare window onto both the design process and onto technical construction details of the objects displayed. Informal artist presentations, at posted times, augment the text and visual material to provide a more in-depth discussion of the techniques, materials and design inspiration involved.

While all of the work shares a common digital origin, none of it is defined stylistically by technology. Instead, Digital Promises demonstrates that contemporary computer-aided design resists any singular aesthetic classification.
