Jason Ogden has been living in Toronto for a while now. In a music scene so big and diverse one of the country's best songwriters can move in there and it can be frustrating trying to make any sort of a splash. Penny Blacks were and are a full band out of Saint John, New Brunswick and were and are amazing but make no mistake a solo Jason Ogden set is everywhere near as compelling. Come out and hear for yourself, you'll be happy you did.

Don't let the soundcloud mislead you. Since those demos were recorded Yukon Trails have evolved from an acoustic folk outfit to much more of an alternative rock band. This will be their first time on the Rancho stage but we truly hope it will not be the last.

Dog is Blue: https://www.facebook.com/dogisblue 11:00-11:40:

Dog is Blue is the hardest rockin' two piece drumless folk duo you have ever encountered. Don't judge things by their packages because if you did you would be very shocked when Paul starts playing his custom pedals and blasting a serious amount of electric guitar at you and Laura gets to her multi tasking of 2-3 instruments/percussion at the same time. Come for the music and stay for the always entertaining stage banter.

Met this guys when they were stranded in Newfoundland for a while waiting to be able to go home on the ferry. They played relentlessly everywhere and anywhere that would take them making friends, selling merch and growing a legend that this island won't soon forget. At NXNE, unfortunately the festival placed them next to perhaps the worst band of all time. That sucked. Come see them the proper way and get your stand-up bass on at Rancho!
