In this lecture, we will explore the Giza plateau and its pyramids, sail upstream to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings and the workers to learn how craftspeople and commoners once lived.

We will even take a sacred pilgrimage to Abydos to visit the great Temple of Seti I and finish with a visit to Denderah' one of Egypt's best preserved temples.

You will marvel at what these monuments look like millenniums after their construction, and also consider the current challenges and opportunities faced by these ancient wonders. Hop aboard our felucca, friends, as we sail the Nile, which Herodotus claimed was Egypt's great gift.
