You're invited to Caplanskypalooza!

June 17, 2014 is going to be a big day in the deli. Not only is it my birthday, BUT it is also the 6th year anniversary of Caplansky's Delicatessen AND we're launching our signature beer: Deli King, spiced rye dark lager.

To say thank you to all of our loyal guests, fans and supporters over the years, we are going to have a party, a "Palooza" if you will, to commemorate the occasion! And what better way to commemorate an occasion than drinking a beer named after yourself?

That's right! Barley Days Brewery has created a beer, called The Deli King, named after me. It is a spiced, dark rye lager, using the exact spices we use in our smoked meat seasoning here in the deli.

All Deli King Beer will be $5.00, all night, and Thunderin' Thelma will be onsite serving up some deli treats as well!

Jew it up with meat, beer, live music from Karaoke super group Good Enough and cupcakes. That's right: Karaoke AND Cupcakes! Plus beer.

NOTE: During the day on June 17, 2014, we will be selling a pint of Deli King and a Smoked Meat Sandwich for $10.00!
