Besides, Your Neighbours
Hello friends wherever you may be,
Christine Atkinson and I are co-curating the project, "Besides, Your Neighbours", for 8eleven, an artist-run project space in Torontos Chinatown. In the month of December, 8eleven will be presenting an exhibition of works by artists made of materials sourced from the neighbours of different arts spaces. This project will be looking at what literally surrounds an art space, locating them within the contexts of their immediate surroundings.
We welcome your participation by sending us images documenting the results of interactions with the direct neighbour of an art space. Could be an object or an interaction, up to you. Images accepted will be included on our ongoing project blog: http://besidesyourneighbours.tumblr.com/.
You can submit your image directly through tumblr. Please include your name, the name of the gallery and it's neighbour.
