Belcea Quartet

Founded at the Royal College of Music in London in 1994, the Belcea Quartet is based in the UK. Thursday, October 23, 2015 Tickets $55, $50; $10 student tickets; age 18 to 35 – pay your age. The quartet represents a blending of diverse European influences into a common musical language. Founding members Romanian violinist Corina Belcea and Polish violist Krzysztof Chorelski brought different artistic backgrounds while drawing from the traditions of string quartet playing represented by their mentors, the Alban Berg and Amadeus quartets. The French musicians Axel Schechter, violin, and Antoine Lederlin, cello, brought their shared French heritage.
