Elana Wolff (CC) 

Elana Wolff has taught English as a Second Language at York University and at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She currently divides her time between writing, editing, and facilitating therapeutic community art. Elana's poems have appeared in journals and anthologies in Canada, the US and the UK, and have garnered awards, including most recently First Prize in the 2011 GritLit Writing Competition. She has published six books with Guernica Editions: a collection of essays titled Implicate Me: Short Essays on Reading Contemporary Poems (2010) and four books of poetry: Birdheart (2001); Mask (2003); You Speak to Me in Trees (2006)--awarded the F.G. Bressani Prize for Poetry; Slow Dancing: Creativity in Illness (2008), a collaborative work with the late Malca Litovitz; and Startled Night (2011). 


Peter McPhee 

Born and raised in Toronto, Peter McPhee, as a poet, feature reader, producer, facilitator, curator, promoter and occasional host was an integral presence in the city's living poetry community. His public readings developed a reputation for their music, humour, insight and innovation. He was The Scream In High Park's artistic director from 1994 to 2000. He is the author of Running Unconscious (Coach House 2000). His live CD The Sound of Filling Hollow is considered a benchmark in Canadian poetry recordings. (Exclaim!). His fifteen year collaboration with guitarist composer Tim Posgate includes the CD In the future of your dream (The Words of Peter McPhee) (2004, Guildwoodrecords.com). He lives in the Slocan Valley in BC where he is currently founding Watershed: a festival of new work.
