Andrew Downing will celebrate the release of his double CD Otterville, which features 15 original instrumental compositions and a book of stories by John Southworth. The music is at once calm, nostalgic, intense, patient, subtle and magical. Joining Andrew and his cello are Tara Davidson saxophone, Christine Bougie lap steel, Michael Davidson vibraphone, Nick Fraser drums and Paul Mathew bass, and augmenting the performance at the Burdock to read his original stories accompany the music will be John Southworth.
