Amnesty International Presents 10th Anniversary Reel Awareness Film Festival
Amnesty International Toronto presents the 10th Annual Reel Awareness Documentary Film Festival. Taking place at the Carlton Cinema from November 19 to 22, this volunteer-led festival features a collection of critically acclaimed human rights documentaries from around the world.
The festival kicks off on Thursday, November 12th with a 10th Anniversary reception and panel discussion at the Paint Box Bistro. Titled “Human Rights Through a Unique Lens”, the conversation will focus on the arts and film as a medium to further human rights. Lead by Toronto Star journalist Olivia Ward, the panel will feature acclaimed filmmakers Shelley Saywell and Jennifer Podemski, amongst others.
