AIDAN BAKER (http://aidanbaker.bandcamp.com/)

1/2 of drone duo Nadja, Aidan Baker returns to Toronto for his yearly visit. Expect languid, sparse songs, post rock with out the elaboration. Delicate voices float over minimal percussion work & silky guitar tones. Beautiful otherworldly compositions, feel weightless, as textural guitar-scapes roll like fog over the ground, never able to touch the ghostly yet evocatively angelic voices drifting above. Waves of artifacted distortion move like a wall.

THE VISIT (http://thevisit1.bandcamp.com/)

Ottawa cello & voice duo juxtapose sparse foreboding landscapes with rich minimalist influenced romantic phrasing. Their aural ranges interact like dancers in the throes of an intense performance. This music is cautious, but adventurous. Heather;s vocals soar but never to far out of reach for Raphael's bowed cello notes, that weave & hum in her presence. Don't miss out on what is sure to be a beautiful performance in an apt environment.

MOONWOOD (http://moonwood.bandcamp.com/)

Toronto freak folk turned kraut electronic quartet adapt to their new territory well, pulling influences from Neu!, Can & Amon Dull II. Fuzzed out synth tones blister on top of rigid yet groovy drum machine programs. Waves of gentle distortion spiral into a psychedelic sandstorm. An appropriate soundtrack for life on the wind swept surface of Mars or the Mojave desert. Come get spacial with these synth demons.
