A Puppet Play For Families

BED & BREAKFAST by Puppetmongers Theatre

Set in an exquisitely detailed Edwardian-style dolls’ house and peopled with tiny perfect puppet servants and royalty, Bed & Breakfast is a clever retelling of the fairy tale classic “The Princess and the Pea”, mixed with elements of The Perils of Pauline and Downton Abbey. Puppetmongers turn the story on its ear when Prince Cuthbert confesses his love for housemaid Amy and, on a stormy evening, a mysterious stranger seeks refuge at Poshingham Palace.

Created by Puppetmongers’ Co-Artistic Directors (and brother and sister) Ann Powell and David Powell, and directed by Sue Miner, this entertaining and charming tale for family audiences aged 5 and older runs for only 4 performances at Tarragon Theatre’s Extra Space.
