Zero-sugar added ice cream brand from Spain opening its first Toronto location

A global ice cream brand with no added sugar has its sights set on opening one of its first Canadian locations in Toronto.

Yolé is based in Singapore and has offices in Spain and Miami, and they also have locations in Taiwan, Cambodia, Brunei, Portugal, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. Their products are made in Spain.

The ice cream is supposed to have the lowest fats, sugars and calories out of any ice cream available.

They make ice cream, frozen yogurt, plant-based ice cream and retail products for supermarkets.

Not only do they make plant-based ice cream for different diets, they also say their plant-based ice cream emits less CO2 in production compared to dairy-based options.

Overall, the brand is intended to be sustainable using tactics like bamboo packaging.

Retail Insider reports that the first Canadian location would most likely be in a Toronto mall, and that Yolé has plans within Canada to expand to as many as 50 locations across the country. They also report that stores could range in size from convenient kiosks to larger spaces.
