Dear Julia Stead,
I would like to thank you for mentioning us in this blog. It is a wake up call for us here at yakitoribar and we would like to offer a sincere apology for the mistakes we made and would like to inform our patrons and future patrons that these errors will not happen again.
However I would like to express my anger with this blog as the facts are mistaken.
We did not receive 6 infractions but 4. 3 significant, and 1 minor. We did not receive a crucial for potable water supply. In fact these were the infractions:

1. (S)properly equipped/maintained mechanical washer for mutli-use (an error in replacing an empty detergent)
2. (S)protective cover (one item in a metal container left uncovered during our lunch rush)
3. (M)proper maintenance/washing of rooms (bit of grease in the back doorway entrance)
4. (S)accurate indicating and easily readable thermometers (we had small ones which our chefs can easily read)

We don't by any means take these infractions lightly, in fact we have already implemented stringent polices

We invite anyone who is interested to come in and view the report to authenticate this and as well join us for a complimentary appetizer.

Please in the future Julia if you want to tarnish a companies reputation please get the facts right.

You (Julia) also are invited to come in and view the report and we will not only offer up a complimentary app, we will compliment your whole lunch.

Dear GM Yakatori,
There are, indeed, 6 infractions noted in the report. The author obviously can count... not sure where you get 4 from. Here's the link. http://www.toronto.ca/health/dinesafe/index.htm?show=detail&;id=109568

Yep, 6 infractions. Just because 2 were corrected at the time doesn't mean they never happened. And failure to provide potable water supply IS on the list. All of this information is on the DineSafe website, so I would like to know why the GM of Yakitori would come on here and say it didn't happen. All of the infractions from November 28 inspection with the conditional pass are pasted from DineSafe below.

Operator fail to provide potable water supply
Crucial
Notice to Comply, assess on re-inspection

Operator fail to use proper utensils to ensure food safety
Significant
Corrected During Inspection

STORE UTENSILS IN MANNER NOT PREVENTING CONTAMINATION O. REG 562/90 SEC. 81
Significant
Notice to Comply, assess on re-inspection

Operator fail to use proper procedure(s) to ensure food safety
Significant
Corrected During Inspection

Operator fail to properly maintain mechanical washer
Significant
Notice to Comply, assess on re-inspection

Operator fail to properly wash surfaces in rooms
Minor

The City of Toronto website appears to contain incorrect information and we are working on rectifying the information. We have never been cited for failing to have potable water supply. And again I would like to invite anyone who is interested to come and view the report themselves.
