The 44 bars serving until 4 a.m. for TIFF

Posted by Derek Flack / September 10, 2010

cocktailsWhether you're a movie buff or not, one of the perks of having a major festival like TIFF in town is that numerous restaurants and bars are allowed to extend last call until 4:00 a.m. (two hours later than normal). Being a fan of a libation or two, I feel duty-bound to share the list of these establishments. Not all of them are places that you'd really want to be hanging around in at 3:30 in the morning -- Oliver & Bonacini Cafe comes to mind -- but the list does show some decent range. From straight-up restaurants to bars to clubs, the options for late night drinking are plentiful.

Here's the list, with a helpful Google map at the bottom.

Good thing most of those venues are downtown or next to TTC's Blue Night Service. Wish regular TTC service could continue past 4 AM, but that extra cost would something that Rob Ford would not go for.

As a Club owner i have in the past utilized these 4 am extensions - No More - I find people just come out later- Pre Drink More and spend much less and are more likely to cause problems - As for TIFF Parties i have hosted the official as well as "Un official " parties usually full of Skanks and Douche bags standing around thinking that a celebrity actually wants to meet them LOL Even when " celebrities" actually show up for their own parties and stay for more than 20 minutes they want to be as far away from them as possible or go to other more low key venues to actually have a good time or right back to their hotels or the airport.
I miss the days of TIFF when Torontonians were all about the films and the Celebrities were treated like everyone else in a more relaxed and respectful manner.

The TTC doesn't currently run until 4am and that's Rob Ford's fault, despite not being the Mayor or part of the TTC?
