hahaha, this is a brutal bar

assuming you put the worst bar on ossington on the list, does that mean you going to put the other 7 bars on the street on the list as well?

I Love this bar, what other bar in the city has a monthly comedy night (with open mic spots), story readings and its own film fests. I agree on the week end it can be hard to get a drink sometimes.

Arguably the Worst bar in Toronto!!!

Service is horrible, I dropped by a few night ago with friends who were not from T.O.

I left my area and my drink was gone, I didn't bother mentioning to staff. Later on in the evening I left my area for a few minutes and my other drink was (3/4 full) was cleared!

I asked the bartender why my drinks were being cleared and he told me he wasn't going to get me free drinks.... This was really insulting and unprofessional behavior since my group spent over $200.00 on drinks and since I was not asking fo free drinks...

Overall very rude, unfriendly and seriously uncool staff.....

1. While Ossington is far from the greatest bar in the city, it is not the worst bar either. You should check out some of the dive bars in the downtown Toronto area if you want to experience something truly tragic.

2. You should have brought up the disappearance of your drink the first time it happened.

3. A drink disappearing does not necessarily mean the staff had something to do with it. I have witnessed people on numerous occasions stealing drinks.

4. If you drink disappeared once, why didn't you try to ensure it would not happen again?

5. "I asked the bartender why my drinks were being cleared and he told me he wasn't going to get me free drinks"

Yeah, that was a dickish response.

6. "This was really insulting and unprofessional behavior since my group spent over $200.00 on drinks"

That is not really that much money when you consider the fact that more than a few people spend over $100 on drinks just for themselves.

I agree that disappearing drinks are not always the bartender's fault, and I also agree that I should not have not left my drinks unattended- but that being said.... The bartender should have dealt with this better since they just lost a customer.... And I know that in the grand scheme of things I may have only spent a few hundred dollars and that won't affect a business----
But I live in the area and I do go out weekly in my neighborhood because I believe in supporting local business and being around cool, friendly people ( including bartenders, that's really their job isn't it? to serve patrons)
My friends, colleagues, family, and I will just find some other place to spend our $$$, somewhere that makes us feel welcome and appreciates paying patrons.... Because if you get that right, well we just keep coming back and spending $$$ every time.

TERRIBLE!
Omg some friends and I had plans that fell through at Brooklyn bar (due to the massive line up) so we decided on this place because it was closeby.
Big Mistake.
Music was way too loud. The dj couldnt decide between terrible R&B or Euro. And his idea of dj'ing was just adding lightning bolt effects after each song.

Beers were moderately priced, but the loud terrible music combined with hot sweaty people with nowhere to sit killed it.
