TTC delays full PRESTO rollout until 2018

Toronto's been getting a little bit greener over the past few years as more and more Presto machines, card readers and fare gates pop up all over the city.

Eventually, the TTC will phase out other payment methods - like Metropasses and tokens - in favour of Presto. That, however, won't happen until some time in 2018.

The full Presto rollout was supposed to be complete midway through 2017, but that date got pushed back a few months ago.

Now, as the Toronto Star reports, this won't happen until some time in 2018 - there's no estimated date just yet. So hold on to your tokens because you'll still be able to use them for quite a while. And you should probably stock up before the new year because fare prices are going up on January 1.
