The top 10 student deals in Toronto by day of the week

There are great deals for students every day of the week in Toronto. With discounts ranging from groceries to meals out, students can save money all over the city - no matter what day or time it is.

Here are my picks for the top student deals in Toronto by day of the week.

MONDAY

YYoga
If you don't feel like taking advantage of on-campus athletic facilities, look no further than YYoga. The yoga studio offers students 15% off regularly priced 5-class, 10-class and annual passes. If you're closer to Bloor, Ahimsa Yoga also offer 15% off class-passes for those with student ID. Though these deals aren't Monday specific, they'll help you start your week off right.

TUESDAY

Metro
Tuesday is the day to get your grocery shopping done. Both the Bloor Street and Gould Street Metro offer 10% off your purchase when you show your student card. Stock up on all your essential food items, and don't forget that the store also stocks house necessities like dish soap and toilet paper.

WEDNESDAY

Bulk Barn
When classes get tough, sometimes the only cure to anxiety is a little bit of sugar. Go to Bulk Barn on Wednesdays to receive a 10% discount on all the candy your plastic bags can hold. Or, if you have more self restraint, use the discount on spices and nuts - raw cashews can really put a dent in your savings account.

THURSDAY

Fresh
You've gotten through most of the week, so celebrate by going out for dinner. Skip the greasy burger and opt for something a little healthier at Fresh. The restaurant serves up plant-based eats that even meat-lovers enjoy. If you feel like indulging in a pricey juice, go ahead - with your student ID your meal will be 15% off. This deal isn't exclusive to Thursdays, so feel free to treat yourself whenever.

FRIDAY

Rainbow Cinema
Friday night is a treat yo' self kind of night, and if you don't feel like funnelling beer or attempting a keg stand, why not go see a movie? When you show your student card at Rainbow, you'll get your ticket for a mere $7. It may not have reclining seats like the Cineplex VIP theatres, but the price makes up for that. You can use this deal on any day, but don't let cheap flicks draw you away from class.

SATURDAY

Dance Cave
You haven't experienced post-secondary partying until you've been to the Dance Cave on a Saturday night. Filled with freshmen getting down to Top 40 hits and sipping on sugar-filled cocktails, this is a go-to for many a student. Skip paying the cover charge if you flash your student card at the door, which means you can buy one more beverage than if you had to drop 5 extra bucks.

SUNDAY

Toby's
After a night of shots, you're going to need to indulge in a hangover breakfast. No need to spend gratuitous amounts of cash on a stack of pancakes at Mildred's, you'll probably be just as satisfied with a heaping plate of eggs and bacon. Toby's has an all-day breakfast for just $9, and you can tack on the 15% student discount to make it even more affordable. This deal can be used Sun-Thurs.
