Toronto Reference Library has bed bugs
Finally, a decent excuse to put off studying.
The Toronto Star has reported that the Reference Library has bed bugs. The pesky little parasites have been spotted in four parts of the building. Feeling itchy yet?
The Reference Library has wall-to-wall carpeting and padded chairs--ideal for bed bugs. One room has already been reupholstered and a pest control company has been hired to try to control the problem. Cleaners have also been coming in regularly when the building is closed.
Beg bugs have also been reported at the Yorkville and Parliament branches.
Those E-books are starting to sound better and better...

It can happen, but you're much more likely to get them from infested hotel rooms, or neighbours, than from a library or movie theatre.
The article quoted several individuals who claim they believe the library has bed bugs, but also one individual who claims those are not bed bugs. The article is careful not make any conclusion. In fact, it says "When public health came, they didn’t find any evidence."
You can get bed bugs anywhere these days. Bed bugs are not confined to any one socio-economic caste. Dealing with bed bugs requires getting a professional pest control company to come in and deal with it properly. There are good companies out there. http://www.torontoexterminator.ca for example that can do the whole thing including preparation for those that can't or won't and the laundry too.
