Halloween is one week away! But there's so much to do before the big day!
You need to get a costume, get some candy, and then figure out exactly what you're going to do that night.
Whether you're planning a big night on the town, a party at home, or a night of handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, this guide should give you some ideas.

Costume Stores:
If you need a costume, buying or renting one from a costume store is usually the easiest way to get the most authentic one possible. Costumes from costume stores tend to be more expensive though.

Malabar Limited - 14 McCaul Street, 416- 598-2581 - http://www.malabar.net/
Theatrix Costume House - 284 King St. West, 416-977-3113 - http://www.theatrixcostumehouse.com/

Party City - 1448 Lawrence Avenue East, 416- 755-2552 (*** I've been told that this number is not correct - if anyone knows the correct number please post it in the comments. ***)

Second Hand Clothing Stores
You can almost always find a gem at these stores. Of course, you might need to look a little harder to find exactly what you're looking for, but when you find it you can probably get a great deal.

Adam Beyer is the solar system's techno leader, but the Opera House venue and 'neo-vampyr' theme make me less interested in the $30 ticket this Friday http://www.tribemagazine.com/board/showthread.php?t=138410

CiRCA is always a good time, and they've got Kids On TV and whoever Riot In Belgium is coming this same Friday... but I've got the feeling it won't feel anything like a Halloween event, more likely it'll be like any other Random Land night, and the promotional materials back that up http://www.circatoronto.com/randomland/randomland_evite_oct26_email.html

I'm somewhat interested in both of the above, but also disinterested for the reasons given.

Black Creek Pioneer Village has events for both families (in the day) and adults (at night) and I think I'll probably be checking out the lat(t)er. http://www.blackcreek.ca/allhallowseve

There is a great Halloween Event Guide at http://www.clubpath.com/. This year it looks like Liberty Grand is going to have the biggest party. Everyone I have spoken to is going. It should be a blast.

wow its amazing to see how much Halloween in Toronto has changed since this was originally posted. Most stores are still the same in terms of costumes and such, but the parties seem to be more ticket driven in the entertainment district these days.

Sites such as clubcrawlers, clubzone, and clubvibes offer tickets online. There's even http://www.TorontoHalloween.ca which solely targets the best halloween parties in Toronto - though the site seems to be still updating for the 2010 parties since its only early sept still...

Green DIY Energy, Considering the rate at which our planet is getting exploited of its non renewable energy sources and the dramatic climatic changes happening due to the consumption of these minerals, we have to shift focus and keep our options open. Renewable energy is a form of energy that can never extinguish. Solar panels are used to generate electricity, which can be stored in batteries. These panels can be bought and installed on the roof of a house or even in the backyard. It has to be installed in such a way that it gets maximum amount of sunlight all through out the day.Renewable energy is a source of energy that can never get exhausted or the energy source that we can never run out off. The sun energy has been harvested since centuries. So these are some of the renewable energy sources that we are using.
