Alleged Break & Enter
Unfortunately for blogTO Flickr pool contributor uwajedi who captured the dramatic scene shown here, B&E wasn't bacon and eggs this morning. Rather, a "scumbag" who allegedly (emphasis his) climbed over his fence, onto the deck, and broke into his apartment.

A chase ensued, resulting in the "scumbag" in question falling and breaking his leg outside uwajedi's house in The Beaches. He notes, "The cops said there was a rash of daytime break-ins over the past week, and will see if they can connect this guy to them."

Sweet, sweet, karma at its finest. Gotta love the smug flip of the bird in the above right photo, as well as the tools of the trade shown below.

If you capture any (alleged) crimes in progress, or just feel like calling someone a scumbag, drop on by the blogTO Flickr pool.

Thanks for getting his face out there... we won't have to worry about him for the near future, the police said he was already wanted, and is headed straight to jail (... after surgery).

You can't help but feel bad for people who resort to this type of thing. It's not like they gave up their sucessful career and corner office to start breaking into peoples houses for the thrill of it. It's a long dirty road to this point. Lets hope he can get the help he needs. Because this is the bottom.

(won't the real) Ryan C (please stand up) on July 25, 2007 at 4:28 PM

Regardless of the road taken, everyone has a choice, and breaking into houses is one worthy of becoming the pillow bitch of some huge guy named Bubba inside a 9x13 cell.

Sorry Ryan (1), gotta go with Ryan C (2) on this one...  no one forced him to break into people's houses he deserves everything he gets...

I agree that he had a choice, but I don't think anyone deserves to be a "pillow bitch of some guy named bubba".  What exactly is a pillow bitch? That sounds like you are advocating rape as punishment for housebreaking.  I don't think rape should ever be used as a punishment.

Rape is a perfectly fitting punishment for this crap. Breaking into a person's home, their sanctuary, their refuge from the world is a violation of their being and so is rape. Let the punishment fit the crime. I know what it feels like to have your home robbed and it feels real bad and makes you trust less and sleep poorer. No one should be allowed to get away with affecting your mental well-being like that.

I have a dog that sounds and looks scary to most people so I don't worry about it as much but why should some, obvious, loser be able break into my place and steal everything I worked so hard for? Our Canadian Injustice System will let people get off for assault with not even so much as a slap on the wrist. This guy will probably get $2000 like those gang members who had to wait in jail for trail (boohoo, you're breaking my heart) and a cab ride to anywhere of his choosing. I would have to work more hours at a job I don't consider leisure so some guy who is, obviously, capable of putting in some physical effort can pawn my gear to feed his own stupid, lazy ass (though I guarantee the money would not have went to food).

The fact the guy has the nerve to flip you the bird afterwards, man, I would have had to contain my self from running out there and kicking him into the afterlife. He should have been made to walk on that broken leg all the way to jail.

Can I ask what street you live on? I am in The Beach as well and am just curious, I thought we had a low incidence of this garbage there.
