Looking Down at The City

Last week I returned from a business trip and was lucky enough to get the Air Canada aerial tour of some of Toronto's landmarks on a rather clear day. I snapped away through the window of the plane as we circled the city to land at Pearson.

A smaller plane going over the mouth of the Humber River, an incredibly long look down Yonge St., and a bird's eye view of the criss-crossing road patterns at the junction of the 407 & 404 highways follow...

It's stunning that you got such fantastic shots through a window. These are amazing Jerrold, a really great way to see our city that most of us don't get to experience.

Hey Jerrold, any chance you'd be ok with me blowing these up as art for my house? LOVE THEM!

Ben: LOL. Which intersection? I may have it in another snap that's not shown here.

brokenengine: please shoot me an email via my photoblog :)

These are great Jerrold! Whenever I try to do it I just snap a reflection of myself taking a photo.

Nice shots, Jerrold. You can clearly make out my office building out by the 404. Stunning shot of the downtown core.

Crazy...before reading the post I thought the first pic was taken of a model of downtown. It looks like tiny little plastic buildings that someone painstakingly assembled!

I like how the center of the photograph is brighter than the outer edges, especially on the Highway Junction photo. It adds to the "toy model" feel, because it looks like you took it with flash (a really large one, presumably).
