Student Day of Action on Tuition
Last week I was sitting in class when my professor mentioned that the faculty had been advised that we, the students, would be walking out in protest over tuition fees.
Come again?
The Reduce Tuition Fees events are organized by the Canadian Federation of Students.
It was news to many of us; and at her insistence that we protest over skyrocketing, we decided, wisely I might add, to cancel the class. I know what you are thinking: Wii here I come...
OR perhaps you are thinking of:
12 p.m. Meeting at Kings College Circle, U. of T to March to Queen's Park
1:00 p.m. Rallying at Queens Park.

I reall wish that here in America, we still knew the meaning of protesting. We really don't. It's nice to see that some people are still embracing the power they have to invoke change (or at the very least, try). America just allows the government steamroll over them while distracting them with shiny objects. Take our civil rights, but don't take our TVS. Good luck with the portest.
BTW, I don't want to rub it in
but I am currently in Southern California for a week for my job...from the weather reports, it looks like I picked a good week. Stay warm, Brothers and Sisters in the Northeast!!!
Key failure in their plans... everything happens in the A.M.
There were about four years of my early twenties when I couldn't remember what morning looked like.
