People Have Been Living Here Forever!

Well, maybe not forever. But 11,000 years sure seems like a long time.

There is a lot of history to be found in the city. And apparently all you have to do is dig up a parking lot to find things like 8000 year old spearheads and Irish harps from the 1850's.

The Star profiles what it calls "Toronto's Hidden History" and the lack of a proper place (e.g. a museum) to showcase some of the finds that have been unearthed here in ol' T.O.

It is very much a shame that there is no museum for Toronto. It would be best to see something start relatively modestly and take shape over time (rather than a sudden whiz-bang creation). A very excellent city museum is the Amsterdam Historical Museum (http://www.ahm.nl).
