To fight off the winter blahs, Torontonians are invited to participate in a public hugging event tomorrow. Hug Day 2007 will occur between 3 and 3:30pm, north of the skating rink at Nathan Philips Square. According to the organizer's blog, hugging is good for your physical and mental health.

Bring your friends and lovers for a good ole squeeze, or share a moment with Hug Man of Nuit Blance fame, Hug Woman and other "celebrity huggers."

Was that an Entourage reference?

So awesome. Plus, I need a hug.

Yes Ryan, it was most definitely an Entourage reference (only censored).

Do you sometimes feel you know more about the people in Hollywood then your own neighbors? Well, I don't think you are alone.

Are we so busy (doing what, I don't know sometimes) not to come together in a collective embrace that will show us the kinder side of humanity.

An event that is sure to lift our spirits, give us hope, warm our hearts and bring us closer together as one.

I believe hugging is a symbol of what the whole world needs, more love. Just maybe this movement along with the others will act as catalysts that will one-day lead to peace in the world.

After all is that not what we all want?

I hope to see you there!

The Hugman Video is amazing.
At first I was skeptical but really was moving.
