Santa Speedo Run

This coming Saturday, several sporty santas will put on their skimpies and brave the chilly weather in the name of silliness but more importantly, for charity. The 2nd annual Toronto Santa Speedo Run in Yorkville aims to raise money for Sick Kids Hospital's "Toys and Games Fund".

Think you can tough out a 3km frigid run? There's still time to sign up as a runner!

Event sponsors Running Free, Speedo, and Fox River will be giving away prizes at the run afterparty.

When:
Saturday, December 9th

Where:
Hemingway's Restaurant - 142 Cumberland Street

Schedule:
noon: optional carb loading
1:30pm: race start
After race celebrations will be held at Hemingway's.

I can definitely brave the cold, but I'm not sure the watching populous will be able to brave the sight of me in a speedo.

Sadly, I'm out of town this weekend, so someone take photos and let me know how it goes!

Zanta would be welcome, as long as he doesn't enter Yorkville. It's a 3k race. Yorkville isn't that big a place. I'm sure if he wanted to participate, he could join in the run where it leaves Yorkville. He can do push-ups but I don't know if he can run. It would be an awesome photo-op though. I'll be there with my camera, just in case.
