Cavalcade of Lights & Soccer in Corso Italia

Live music, brilliant lights, an autograph session with Mo Johnston, Head Coach of the new Toronto Football Club and hot chocolate and panettone for all... Yes, Corso Italia is throwing a party.

Starting at 6pm this evening, the community of Corso Italia (St. Clair West between Dufferin & Lansdowne/Caledonia) will be coming together to celebrate Christmas traditions and, in a year a year like this has been, soccer!

The event will centre on St Nicholas of Bari Church (1277 St Clair Ave W at Earlscourt), sparking the illumination of Christmas trees along all major intersections, and a special soccer twist to this year's celebration.

To commemorate the World Cup victory, this year's display will include vivid images of the victory with, stylized icons of soccer players, the World Cup, and other images that capture the culture and vitality of the Corso Italia community.

(I'm assuming some photos of that WILD celebration!)
