As seen across from Dundas Square. A group of 100 or so protesters, many carrying Lebanese flags or graphic images of civilians killed by Israeli fire, calling for an end to the conflict.

It should be noted that Israel is NOT at war with Lebanon, but in fact trying to rid the area of the Hezbollah, a known extreme terrorist group looking for the destruction of the Jews and Israel, who has essentially been given safe haven by the Lebanese government due to the control by the Syrian government, and money by Hamas and the Iranian government.

Once the Hezbollah "stop doing this sh*t" things will be right and quiet again.

Peace in the Middle East.

Peace in the Middle East.

The protesters are not seeking peace in the middle east. If they were they would also be carrying Israeli flags, images of kidnapped Israeli soldiers or Israeli citizens killed by suicide bombers or by Hezbollah missile fire.

There are people in Toronto working for peace in the middle east. I don't see any in that photo.

Thank god. I was just about to come here and say "Where are these people when a suicide bomber blows up, or a missle is launched from Lebanon?". Thanks for beating me to it guys.

Judging by the comments in here so far (some of them are outright ridiculous), this is quite obviously a sore point of the "can of worms" variety.

I'd imagine that the deaths of innocent civilians would be a sore point for most people, no?

right - all innocent people. People who kill innocent civilians who happen to be Israeli shouldn't get a free pass - and all too often they do.

People often forget, but that's how the news works... only the last bomb is recorded.

In the end, it should be noted that the Hezbola's aim is to kill civilians, as many as possible. The Israeli army's aim t to protect its citizens and get rid of the Hezbola. It is unfortunate that civilians die, but perhaps the Lebanese governent should step in and protect its people... by helping to get rid of the Hezbola.

Cans of worms are sometimes meant to be open...
