Rosie RIP

I spotted this poster on a number of poles on Queen West today. Seems like someone's beloved pet, Rosie, was mowed down by a Royal Taxi in a hit and run. If anyone wants to have some words with the driver, keep a look out for license plate ANZZ 461.

In case you're wondering, Royal's motto is "When You Think Service Think Royal". No word yet whether this is going to change to include "And We'll Run Over Whatever It Takes To Get There On Time".

that's horrible. i figure, if the taxi driver did make a mistake and hit the pet, the least he/she could have done was stop and try to get help. are there laws against this kind of thing?

why is it important to mention the brand of the taxi? Has the taxi company had any input on this? The driver is the problem.

Hmmm. If the poster maker has the taxi company and the licence plate, one can only assume that figuring out the time time of day should lead to identifying the driver and pressing charges.

I was at the CAMH when the dog got hit. I didn't go near, because I was walking my dog at the time.

I found out from one of hte patients that the driver tried to take off, but he tried to stop him from doing so.

The staff from CAMH came out to help the dog and from what I gathered, they got the liscence plate before the driver could go.

I had assumed that they could press charges because there were certainly enough witnesses.

Either way, it's heartbreaking.
