Pepsi Wants You to Plug in on the TTC
Didn't notice any of these on today's ride, but according to Make Magazine's blog, Pepsi has let audio postering loose on Toronto's subway cars.
The idea is that you reach over the unsuspecting person who's sitting under the poster, plug your headphones in, and in return hear some kind of music that Pepsi thinks is cool. Yep, I'm thirsty for cola now. Mmhmm.

so i'm not too sure if this is a good idea, or just a case of "we have some cool innovation, let's unleash it to the public without actually having a point for it," but in either case, i don't see how it's going to make me want to buy a pepsi. unless i'm fed pepsi advertising instead of music over my earphones, which would definitely make me NOT want to buy a pepsi.

not sure how much they may cost to install on the ttc, but make magazine says you can make one with a $9 mp3 player.
Imagine how fun it would be to take bike tours of the city, plug into these, and learn about the city along the way. This could even make tourists out of people that have lived here their whole lives. The costs could also be reduced if a sponsor (perhaps a Canadian electronics manufacturer) got on board.
