Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) is a practive involving meditation, exercises, and the cultivation of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance within oneself. Marchers in this parade/protest were passing out literature about the practice itself and about some of the reported problems of persecution, especially that which is occurring in China.
UPDATE: Some readers have suggested that my definition of Falun Gong is not complete. This is not a researched feature story, and readers are encouraged, as always, to seek out further information. As suggested, Wikipedia may be a start. Cheers!

Falun Gong is much more that what you say here. I think you should read up on this controversial group before you present a "definition" of it. Start with the entry on wikipedia. Check the external links at the bottom of the page, including some critical ones from pretty reliable sources.

Falun Gong is a spiritual practice that improves mind and body. Please view the official website for Falun Gong Information Center is http://www.faluninfo.net for more information. Many websites have slandered Falun Gong and discrimination is rampant since the persecution started.
Wikipedia is hardly a credible source as it is an open site which the Communist Party (CCP) have deliberately accessed to further slander and persecute the Falun Gong.
The homophobic cult business is downright degrading and is one of the tactics that the CCP use in the free world to incite hatred and turn the public opinion against Falun Gong.
What most people don't know is that the CCP have been persecuting Falun Gong to give up their faith for the past 7 years using the most brutal forms of Stalinist-style torture methods imaginable.
Harvesting organs from live practitioners and cremating them to hide all evidence has shocked the international community. And the CCP is making a huge profit by selling the 'fresh' organs. In Communist China, the Falun Gong are at the mercy of the most murderous regime on the planet. Hundreds of thousands (of Falun Gong) have disappeared already -- have they become organ donors? Their family members sure think so. How long will we allow this cruel atrocity to last? BTW, you don't need to embrace their belief system to stop this genocide--a genuine respect for human life is more than enough.
