Will former Toronto city councillor Olivia Chow unseat Liberal MP Tony Ianno in the battle for the Trinity-Spadina riding?

Who will win Trinity-Spadina?

It's probably going to be Tony again, although there are other candidates in the race.

There may be other candidates, but I think it's safe to say this will be a two horse race.

OK after her 3rd failed attempt to bump Lazy Tony it's 3 strikes you're out.

What is it about Tony that gets him votes? I've met the guy, can it be his personality? If so, I must be missing something. Is it his big shindig he throws at the CN Tower restaurant every year? Party affiliation and strategic voting should only go so far. It is time for someone new.

Conservative Candidate TRI-SPA

I am going to beat Tony who has been around since pre-internet days

After the last election I wasn't sure the CPC would run a candidate in Trinity Spadina!

I'd like nothing better than to see the end of Tony's reign. This "honourable" member has admitted to having a slush fund and to raising similar funds for the Rt. Hon. Paul Martin and several Toronto Liberal MPS. The last report was that Tony had some $260,000 stashed away. Unfortunately, he won't say who the funds are from or even what they are for. In fact, he has stated the only way he would reveal that information was if he were legally compelled to do so. Doesn't look like the Gomery Commission has had any impact on this MP's beliefs.

tony ianno is a total bullshit. I live in the tri-spa riding and he's done nothing good about this place in more than a decade. I'm now volunteer for Olivia and she's the hardest working person i've ever seen. She's so gonna win this time cuz her plans are so good and everyone knows that she won't break a promise. Anyways, go Olivia go!

PS- All Liberals suck!

You would think that being Chinese, Olivia would have the entire Chinese community behind her. But that is NOT how the chinese feel. We tend to align ourselves with the party that is going to win. So that is one reason why Tony keeps winning and winnning. Liberals have been so good to immigrants. Plus the fact that Tony gets the HUGE Italian vote.

Olivia is not very popular within the chinese community. Many see her as an opportunist, who uses her position to achieve power. Olivia has strong support in the left-wing area of Trinity-Spadina. But support is low in the immigrant community. That is where Tony pulls his vote. It is that simple.

how do you know what chinese feel? i definitely don't feel like the way you are thinking and i am chinese. When canvassing with olivia, i saw that she has a very good relationshio with her neighbours and have not only the asian community behind her but also the portugese and other groups. She's definitely winning this time after what the liberals have done last year.
GO OLIVIA GO!
