Metro News Boo Boo: Lindsay Lohan is NO Tina Fey
Far be it for me, a lowly blogger, to criticize the bigguns of the media machine, but couldn't they have at least gotten even their gossip column thingy right?
I have no idea how Tina Fey's baby is remotely related to a picture of Lindsay Lohan.
Perhaps there was some misguided correlation that because Ms Fey ... who so brilliantly wrote the Mean Girls screenplay ... which was shot in Toronto ... which starred Lindsay Lohan ... that instead of the fabulous Tina Fey's picture be printed, we ended up with the rail thin, once cool girl actress.
The Six Degree of Separation here does not apply folks! No where in the piece does it even mention Lindsay Lohan, so there is no reason why her picture should appear in lieu of Tina's. And don't give me that they couldn't find a picture of her.
Or maybe they though Tina's baby, Alice, looks like Lindsay?
Yes, I know I should be somewhat embarrassed that I follow Hollywood news like a puppy dog, but THAT is certainly NO Tina Fey.
And the entire thing is just wrong ... on so many levels.
Anyways, congrats to Tina and her hubby for successfully sprouting. Way to go!

With that connection in place, whoever laid out the piece possibly looked up media pics from Mean Girls, and accidentally went with a Lindsay rather than a Tina photo ... although I don't know how anyone wouldn't know who Lindsay Lohan is ... seeing as she's everywhere!
Slow news day then?
Guy: Pointing out other people's mistakes are fun! You can refer to a previous post about another free throw away mag that made a boo boo ... that one is far more humourous though. They tried to predict the news!

I agree with you that it's wrong that anyone could mistake Lindsay Lohan for Tina Fey. Canada.com had the right pic. Why couldn't Metro get it right. My guess, it was originally a pic of Fey and Lohan, and the wrong person got Photoshopped out. Not making excuses, just speculating. Just goes to show that in the print media these days, these careless mistakes are becoming more frequent. Let's see if they make any kind of apology for it in tomorrow's edition.
On that note, if you wanted to use proper grammar, it would read as Pointing out people's mistakes *is* fun!'
Wow, that was enjoyable.
